All of us here at Country View Animal Hospital want you to know that we are closely monitoring the outbreak of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) and the impact it is having on our community. Country View Animal Hospital is taking action to ensure the safety and well-being of our clients, patients and staff.
To protect our clients and staff members, we are going above and beyond our normal cleaning and disinfecting protocols to make sure our practices are as clean and safe as possible. We are continuing to wash our hands frequently at a 20-second minimum, using hand sanitizer and examination gloves as needed, sanitizing in between each patient encounter, disinfecting ALL surfaces, equipment, bathrooms, door knobs, desks and hard surfaces multiple times a day, and we are requiring any staff member who is feeling ill to stay home.
At this time, we are not closing the practice. However, we are trying to limit exposure for you and our team. Therefore, we ask if you are feeling ill, please send someone else in your place, or call us from your car when you arrive in our parking lot. Also, during this time, we ask you to only accompany your pet with one adult in the facility, and if you must bring your kids with you, please plan for a family member to remain in the car with the kids.
In addition, we ask that you consider the reason for your visit. If you have an appointment already scheduled and the need is non-urgent, please call to reschedule. We are working with limited staff as things develop, so we want to focus our time on those pets who need more urgent care.
Our decisions are based on recommendations from local and state authorities, as well as the CDC, AVMA, and the protocols being instituted in other animal hospitals in our area.
We will keep you updated as things change!
